Director
 Brenda Lovhaug

 Brenda, an Elementary and Early Childhood Education graduate of Concordia University Saint Paul, 
 accepted a call from Golden Valley Lutheran Church to be Director of LSELC in 2001 after serving as an 
 Associate Director. Her tenure includes the successful opening and management of a child care center at
 Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She also has previous experiences at GVLC which include being a Lead
 Toddler Teacher and a Lead Pre-Kingergarten Teacher. She and her husband David have three grown children:
 Daniel, Paul, and Bethany. The Lovhaugs make their home in Brooklyn Park.

 Laura Weber

 Laura Weber earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood
 Education. Her teaching experience includes all ages; preschool through fourth grade.  She is married to Kurt
 and they hav
e three grown children and one granddaughter.

 Alex McDonald

 
Alex has a Bachelors of Arts in International Relations and enjoyed teaching in childcare while in school. She joined the Loving Shepherd team
 in May 2014. Alex says the best part of teaching is helping children achieve developmental milestones. In her free time Alex enjoys traveling,
 soccer, basketball, and reading. She makes her home in Minneapolis.

 Bernice Rotich

 Bernice, originally from Kenya, joyfully joined the infant staff in 2002 as a full time aide. Her hard work and dedication in conjunction with
 completion of the entire course work from the Professional Child Care Program enabled her to move into her current position as an Infant
 Teacher. She and her husband Jeremiah have two children: Kevin and Jolene. They make their home in Brooklyn Center.

 Katie Delano

 Katie joined the infant staff at Loving Shepherd in 2014. Currently she is attending Concordia University in Saint Paul for a
 degree in Mathematics. In her free time Katie enjoys biking and hiking and spending time with family and friends. Katie
 makes her home in Plymouth with her parents and two brothers.

 Michelle Mandler

 Michelle received her AAS degree in Early Childhood Education from Hennepin Technical College in December 2012. She joined the Teddy
 Bear staff at Loving Shepherd in June 2012 after completing her student teaching practicum here. In 2016, Michelle became the Lead Waddler
 Teacher. She enjoys watching movies and bowling. Michelle makes her home in Crystal.

 Amber Dybdahl

 Amber holds an Associate of the Arts degree from Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park. She has
 enthusiastically stepped into the role of Lead Teacher. Amber started with the Early Learning Center in
 2004 as a Teacher and in 2007 was promoted to Lead Teacher. Amber, her husband Kurt, and their son
 Kaden live in Champlin.

 Emily Hunton

 Emily has a Bachelors degree in Teaching English As A Foreign Language from Bethel University and joined the Duckling Team in 2016. Emily
 says she likes working with children because she enjoys watching them get excited about learning and seeing them grow into their unique
 personalities. In her free time Emily enjoys soccer, reading, singing, traveling, and learning new languages. Emily makes her home in
 Minneapolis.

 Marcy Lammlein

 Marcy, an Elementary Education graduate with minors in Elementary Art and Reading from Saint Could
 State University, has a long tenure with the Early Learning Center. In 1995, she began as a substitute
 teacher and eventually became a full time toddler teacher in 1996. She has a wide variety of experiences,
 which range from teaching 3rd grade in New Orleans to attending to the needs of developmentally
 challenged adults through a home care program. She has built an outstanding program and cared for
 many children since being promoted to Lead Teacher. She and her husband Steve are members of Golden
 Valley Lutheran Church and make their home in Plymouth.

 April Allen

 
April received her education in Early Childhood from Cuesta College and has more than 13 years of experience teaching in various Christian
 centers. She moved to Minnesota from California and joined the Loving Shepherd team in January 2014. April enjoys swimming, trail walking
 and music. She has two grown children and lives in Plymouth.

 Ashley Merchant

 
Ashley is currently studying Early Childhood at Hennepin Technical College and joined the Busy Bee staff in 2016. Ashley enjoys working with
 children because there is something new everyday. In her free time Ashley enjoys cooking, shopping, eating food, and being with her family.
 Ashley makes her home in North Minneapolis.

 Wendy Morschen

 Wendy, a Child Development Associate of Arts graduate from Normandale Community College and senior
 member of our staff, has dedicated herself to our Early Learning Center since 1991. While still in high
 school, Wendy started as an Aide. She has been integral in developing high standards that are currently in
 place in the Teddy Bear Room. When the Lead Teacher position became available, she was a natural choice
 for the position. She and her husband Scott have to children: Brianna and Caden. The Morschens make
 their home in Waconia.

 Denae Hanzal

 Denae is currently studying child development at Rasmussen, and joined the Loving Shepherd staff in 2016 as a float working with every age
 group. She enjoys teaching because she like to help children learn to love the great outdoors and being active. Denae makes her home in
 Minneapolis with her 2 cats, a bearded dragon, a sand boa, a netherland dwarf rabbit and her godmother.

 Krissy Martin

 Krissy earned a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from Augsburg College and
 began serving the Early Learning Center in 2004 as the Lead Penguin Preschool Teacher. She has done a
 great job in creating a pre-kindergarten ready program that is recognized by many of the area elementary
 schools. In addition, she has experience with infants and toddlers, and had helped school age children and
 their families. Krissy and her husband Mike have two children: Pacey and Julianna, and make their home in
 Coon Rapids.

 Laura Fowell

 Laura Fowell joined the staff at Loving Shepherd in the fall of 2015. She has a Bachelors degree in Children's Ministry from North Central
 University and has over 15 years experience as a teacher. In her free time she enjoys nature walks, reading, watching football, and playing
 outside. Laura makes her home in Columbia Heights.

 Karen Ferry

 Karen began working at Loving Shepherd Early Learning Center in August 2011. She has more than 30
 years of experience working in the food industry. Karen enjoys camping and fishing with her family. She
 and her husband Virgil have two teenage daughters and make their home in Brooklyn Center.

 Tom Rutherford

 Tom, having honorable served our country in the Navy, began serving the Early Learning Center and
 Golden Valley Lutheran Church as our Custodian in August 2008. Tom and his wife Dorothy have two sons:
 Chad and Garrett. They also had their first grandchild in 2008. The Rutherfords make their home in
 Oakdale.

 Kurt Weber

 
Kurt started serving as the Pastor at Golden Valley Lutheran Church in May 2016. Kurt is so excited to serve
 the church and the children and families of Loving Shepherd Early Learning Center. Kurt is a 1986 graduate
 of Concordia University Wisconsin and a 2004 graduate of Concordia Seminary Saint Louis, MO. Kurt is  
 happily married to his high school sweetheart Laura. They have three grown children: Megan, Katlynn, and
 Curtis. The Webers are also blessed with their first grandchild Eleanor Rose.

 Jen Hall

 Jennifer, a Director of Christian Education and Elementary Education graduate of Concordia University Saint
 Paul, accepted a call from Golden Valley Lutheran Church in 1996 to be Director of Family Ministries. She
 oversees ministry to families from birth to 5th grade. She coordinates and plans education events, including
 Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and family based activities throughout the year to foster
 relationships. She and her husband Tim have four children, Ken, Emily, Faith, and Rachel. The Halls make
 their home in Bloomington.

 Cindy Inselmann

 Cindy, a Deaconess of Concordia Seminary in Fort Wayne and a graduate of Concordia University Saint Paul,
 accepted a call from Golden Valley Lutheran Church in 2001. She currently serves as Director of Care
 Ministries. As part of her responsibilities, she visits with shut-ins and hospitalized individuals. She interfaces
 with the service deacon to plan volunteer service opportunities. Cindy and her husband Dave have two
 children: Lizzy, Noah, and Nathan. The Inselmanns make their home in Dayton.
